Scorring System

As promised here is the scoring system for the league:

1. The "season" consists of the time frame from Jan. 1 until Dec. 31st of a given year.

2. Upon the announced death of a player (shall henceforth be known as "a score") the owner of that player will be awarded the points.

3. Scoring is calculated by taking 120 - players age

There are also several bonuses to be taken into account:

* First Blood - The team with the first stiff will receive 10 bonus points. If multiple teams score on that same day, those teams will each receive the 10 bonus points. For example, if a team scores at 8am on January 1 and a second team scores at 10pm on the same day, both teams will be awarded the First Blood bonus.

* Last Blood - The last player to kick the bucket earns a 20 point bonus for his/her franchise.

* Quinella - Within 72 hours of the draft, each franchise designates two 'franchise players'. If both wind up pushing up daisies during the season, the franchise receives a 25-point quinella bonus.

* Bloodbath Bonus - When two players in the league keel over during the same calendar week (by Eastern Standard Time), 25 bonus points are awarded to each. Each additional snuff during the same week will receive an additional 25 bonus points. For example, if 3 players from different teams take a dirt nap during the same week, these 3 teams will each receive 25 bonus points.

* Two-in-a-Row Bonus - When a franchise has 2 consecutive scores in the league, 15 bonus points are awarded. 3 consecutive scores by a franchise will result in awarding the Two-in-a-Row twice.

* The Four-Bagger - Any franchise that suffers 4 or more expirations during the season receives a 20 point bonus.

* 2 Birds, 1 Stone - When two players cash their chips in the same incident (to be determined by the commissioner), 30 bonus points are awarded in addition to the Bloodbath Bonus. Each additional extinction in the same incident will receive an additional 30 bonus points.

* Till Death do Us Part - Can be claimed if two spouses kick the bucket in the same year while still legally married. Each team with a member of this union receives an extra 30 points.

* Clutch Performer - When a player sprouts wings on Christmas Day or after, 20 bonus points are awarded.
